King Ludwig II was a \u00bbtheatre\u00ab king who understood the world as a stage. He designed his own sketches for a modern festival theatre in 1864 with the famous architect Gottfried Semper. More than one hundred years later, with the laying of the foundation stone in 1998, his vision became reality: Ludwigs Festspielhaus was built. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
