The legacy of the Wittelsbachs from almost a thousand years of cultural activities can still be felt everywhere today \u2013 as commissioners of world-famous buildings, monuments and castles and as founders of exquisite collections which can now be admired in major museums, such as the Glyptothek, the Alte Pinakothek and the Neue Pinakothek in Munich, as well as in many other exhibitions in Berchtesgaden and at Villa Ludwigsh\u00f6he in Edenkoben. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Right up until today, the family has been involved in many committees which are committed to cultural, scientific and charitable causes. The youngest members of the family are well aware of their continued responsibility and demonstrate that they have assumed this responsibility by participating in numerous socially-relevant projects in Germany and abroad. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
