Luitpold Prince of Bavaria and Ferdinand Count of Castell-Castell present the first wine from the Royal Wine Selection: the Castell 1659 Silvaner Cuvée Privée. This unique creation, composed by Luitpold Prince of Bavaria for selected friends and wine lovers, is like a ramble through his personal wine cellar where some very special vintages and unique rarities are to be found. Luitpold Prince of Bavaria seeks not only to surprise, but also to present wines with which he has a very personal history.
The first is this classic Silvaner Cuvée, which perfectly unites the best individual parcels on the Fürstlich Castell’sch estate. Grown on Gipskeuper, it embodies minerality, spice and mellowness. An elegant white wine in the tradition of those cuvées served at the court of Wittelsbach. You can sense the generations of experience in this wine from the Fürstlich Castell’sch family estate.
