KÖNIG LUDWIG KÄSE – A ROYAL SPECIALITY CHEESE FROM THE ALLGÄU ALPS
Another popular speciality from the fine royal world of indulgence is he König Ludwig Käse which comes in two delicious varieties: Königskäse (King’s Cheese) and Bierkäse (Beer Cheese), marinated with the speciality beer, König Ludwig Dunkel.
Both varieties are produced from fresh »hay« milk, i.e. this type of milk comes from cows which have only been fed with grass or hay. There is a very good reason why hay milk is referred to as the »original« milk, since no other type of milk is produced in such a natural and traditional manner. These royal speciality cheeses are matured not far from King Ludwig II’s world renowned Neuschwanstein Castle, at the foot of the Allgäu Alps. Named after the legendary regent, these two glorious cheese varieties turn everyday kitchen tables into a royal table.
