KÖNIG LUDWIG GASTRONOMIE ‒ GERMAN ROMANTICISM AS A WORLDWIDE HOSPITALITY SUCCESS
One of the core competencies of the Schloss Kaltenberg Königliche Holding und Lizenz KG is hosting guests. A licensable gastronomy concept, the focus of which is firmly on German Romanticism and which has been used successfully in international locations, was developed twenty years ago to exploit this potential.
King Ludwig II, a great admirer of German Romanticism, made the medieval world of myths and legends the central theme of his castles and palaces. The legendary Singers’ Hall at Neuschwanstein Castle, which was themed on the legend of Parsifal, served as the creative blueprint for the very lavish, experience-orientated gastronomy approach under the brand name, König Ludwig Gastronomie. From the interior design, through the composition of the menus, to the clothing of the staff – every detail reflects King Ludwig II’s ideas about the medieval knight’s culture and world of legends.
König Ludwig Gastronomie has already been very successfully implemented in selected locations around the world e.g. at Euro Disney Paris, at Vail Ski Resort in the US, at the Munich exhibition centre, as well as during the World Expo in Aichi, Japan.
