HILFSVEREIN NYMPHENBURG STANDS FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT AID
The Hilfsverein Nymphenburg e.V. was founded in 1964 with the active involvement of prominent Bavarians and with the help of the Bayerisches Rotes Kreuz. The organisation draws on the commitment of the Royal Bavarian family to various projects – primarily in the Eastern European countries in which the family found refuge during the National Socialist period. Nowadays, the organisation is open to anyone who enjoys doing good deeds and wants to contribute to a charitable cause. The donations which the organisation receives go to improve the lives of those in need in countries such as Albania, Romania and East Africa.
The main focus of the organisation’s aid projects is firmly on improving the health, nutrition and the general living conditions of people in need. Working together with local partners, the organisation helps people to help themselves. It provides hot meals for homeless people and also assumes medical costs. As far as other projects are concerned, the future prospects for children are being significantly improved; the organisation has renovated kindergartens and built schools in an attempt to offer young people a good education.
