EXQUISITE SPECIALITIES PAYING HOMAGE TO THE ROYAL BAVARIAN COURT KITCHEN

The Royal Bavarian Court Kitchens experienced their heyday under King Ludwig II and were famous throughout Europe. The superb menus were inspired by the ideas of the king himself and served as part of a magnificent table setting. No detail, however small, was left to chance. Hundreds of handwritten and hand-painted menus bear witness today to this regal splendour. They document in a rather wonderful way the imaginative menus which were presented in honour of the many illustrious guests – from refined appetizers through magnificent main courses and on to seductive desserts, which were rounded off with sophisticated coffees and spirits.

This deep pool of exquisite recipes is the inspirational source for a unique range of brands and products. A selection of exquisite royal Bavarian delicacies has been created based on the fabulous dishes of the legendary court kitchens. They have been given a modern interpretation and prepared with the greatest care to achieve absolute perfection.

All of the specialities, including many of the favourite dishes of court society and of King Ludwig II himself, tell stories that are closely connected with the Bavarian royal family and its court kitchens. They form the basis for many of the culinary creations presented here, for example the fine Hofconfiserie range with its delicious chocolate creations or the fine Hofpatisserie range with such classics as Baumkuchen and Christstollen.
A recent addition is König Ludwig Feine Kaffeespezialitäten, a selection of three exquisite grande cuvée coffees. Their arrival marks the restoration of one of the oldest Bavarian coffee brands to new glory.
